We also have started playing classical music in the background (thanks to my sis-in-law, Jaime who set it ALL up for me!! You're the BEST!). This seems to really help my middle child focus better. She has a very hard time concentrating and focusing. I read this tip somewhere else and I started implementing it into our school a little while ago.

It's funny you mentioned the classical music on your post today, as I just did that myself this morning. It does seem to help, even if it's just to provide some background noise that's not distracting.
My daughter sits on her bed while she does her homework. I figure whatever works for her.
Looks just like our house, except the boys are usually still in there underwear!
Walmart has the greatest Classical collection(yes, I was surprise, too) It is called Classical Music for Reading!
My children's favorites are all on the one CD. It is where they have the candles and the dinner music.

Andrea,
Thanks for the tip. I'm going to have to check that out!

Annalise complains everytime I put on the classical music now because "it's boring!" She would much rather listen to her rockstar music! Do you think any work would get done between the dance steps? So, classical music is still played and I definately think it helps her stay focused.
Oh, and I must say...sorry Hannah Montana, because of your skanky influence, you are no longer in Annalise's library of rockstar music!
Jaime
LOVE IT, Jaime! I can see Annalise only wanting her "rock star" music.
