Name Brandaphobia

This is a rare disorder. If you live in America, you might not even know anyone who has it. Well, I am here to tell you that this disorder is real. In fact, I have it.
You might be wondering what Name Brandaphobia is exactly. O.k., I'll tell you. It is a specific disorder where the person affected cannot stand to buy anything based on a Name Brand. There are some cases that seem to be more serious than others. I believe my case is quite severe. In fact, it keeps spreading to new areas of my life.
This affects everything from food to clothes to purses to shoes. I know that people will tell you that you get what you pay for. I just think that some high end Brand Name came up with that slogan.
I even have a hard time buying name brand things on clearance from a thrift store out of principal. I also think that there is only about 2% of the population who cares about what you are wearing or carrying. And, an even smaller percentage that would be able to tell the difference.
I don't think there is a cure for this disorder. But, that is o.k. with me. I will continue to pay $15 for a handbag and $5 for a shirt.

I have no preference for brand either. Store brand is just fine for me, especially if I can find it for almost nothing!

Well, there is a sale this weekend at JC Penney. They are taking an additional 50% off clearance. So, if you need to pick up clothes for the kiddos or adults, now is a good time. They also will let you combine this with $10 off $50 and $15 of $75.
