Parade Time

We went to the Citrus parade in Downtown Orlando on Tuesday. The weather was great and the kids had a blast! We packed our lunch and spread out with chairs. It's amazing when you can get 11 kids to sit still and be quiet for that long. Here is the start of the parade with police clearing the way
The kids were very excited to see the Georgia band and mascot come by. They even got to shake UGA's hand :)Apparantly, this is what we do when Michigan State's band goes by.This is one of Morgan's favorite people in the worldMany of the floats would throw candy or necklaces. We even got some little flashlights.

That looked so fun! We wanted to go to the parade, but Anna has not been feeling well this week. We were bummed to miss it. Great pics. I can't believe you got al of those kids to chill in those chars for that long... Super Mom... That's what you are :)

Isn't it some sort of blasphemy for a Floridian to be an UGA fan? LOL

Angela
Who lived in Fl until she was 20...and her dad AND graddaddy played for UGA...and was never ever allowed to wear the colors blue and orange together....GO DAWGS!

Angela,

Don't worry, I'm not a real fan of anybody. I just pretend :) My husband is from Georgia and he has instilled it in my kids from an early age.

Did you happen to take any pictures of the people on horses giving out orange bracelets? My sister was with them and forgot her camera. Silly sister. :D

Soni,

I don't think so. We did get some of those bracelets though. The only picture I have of someone giving something was the candy and the necklaces. How fun that she was in the parade!

oh yes.... the parade goofed up traffic downtown. Was a real challenge to get home from work. :) But it was certainly a beautiful day for a parade.
